After his presence in 2001, BREW (Binary Runtime Environment for Wireless) has attracted interest for its existing mobile phone manufacturers. Qualcomm-made platform that operates in over 25 countries have been able to prove his success as a pioneer in the development of applications and services that are available for over eight years.
In line with this, HTC has just announced the latest mobile phones that use Qualcomm’s BREW platform and not Windows Mobile or Android. BREW is used by Verizon for cell phone features and AT & T recently announced that it will begin offering BREW-based mobile phone.
BREW is a lower-cost platform for mobile phones aimed at the mass market. HTC Smart phone is a phone-style touch slab equipped with a user interface feature HTC’s Sense. Own sense is that the HTC interface used on Windows Mobile-based device and the Android. This interface provides a more intuitive way to interact with existing mobile devices.
This mobile processor running at 300MHz and has a network of support quad-band GSM / EDGE radio and 2100MHz 3G. Existing touch screen measuring 2.8 inches and has a QVGA resolution. In addition, the camera also offers a fixed focus 3 megapixel camera with flash, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP, a 3.5mm headset jack and support for micro SD cards.
