This week Google announced it would begin selling electronic books, or eBooks. Consumers Google can read eBooks on the device read anything as long as it is connected to the internet, including Apple iPad. The plan, the digital books start reaching the market in July. Obviously with the permission and consent of the copyright holder.
“The service will complement Google eBooks existing reading devices,” said Google spokesman Gabriel Stricker told AFP, and quoted, Wednesday (05/05/2010).
Consumers can read digital books purchased from Google and its partners in the device to read anything that has a web browser, ranging from smart phones, eBook reader, up to a computer. The digital readings can be enjoyed by users of the Kindle, and support open standards epub format, which is the standard used by many publishers and the International Digital Publishing Forum.
