Through the range of the latest Atom processor, Intel’s ambition to enter the realm of tablet PCs that recently has begun to bloom. Armed with the ability to run a 3-dimensional applications, the product is directly targeting gaming enthusiasts. Intel Atom Z600 using Moorestown architecture, is a line of processors designed for mobile phones and other handheld devices. With diusungnya architecture, this product is claimed to reduce power consumption but can improve performance.
Based on the leak reported by Anandtech , a tablet which has a Windows operating system has a keyboard and d-pads separately. Similar to a handheld gaming console in general, only larger shape. Still, Intel has not revealed the ability of many of these tablets when playing games. But with Windows in it, could have products that will be launched in early 2011 has features similar to computer devices.
A new technology allows one to dictate the words and do a search on the internet just by thinking. Intel has said the researchers who are creating the project. Computers that can read minds was already widely developed. However, Intel claims it has developed a computer different from the reader’s mind.
Most computers have a mind reader who is currently still requires physical movement of the user in controlling the cursor on the screen. Unlike computers that Intel developed, with the latest technology invested in them, allowing the computer can translate words directly while it is thought by the user.
Apparently, scientists at Intel to create detailed maps of brain activity for each individual word, which can then be matched with the brain activity of someone who uses a computer. This machine makes it easier to determine the word being considered. Read the rest of this entry »
Intel has agreed to no longer enforce exclusive bundling in order to stop the sale of its dominance in the chip market. Thus the announcement conveyed the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) United States (U.S.) this weekend. The analysts estimated that this decision will be little change Intel’s market share. But WedBush Securities analyst Patrick Wang positive rate of this step. “Intel can minimize losses and get it over with,” said Wang. Starting from the statement of rival Intel, Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) and Nvidia graphics chip maker, in December 2009 the FTC later claimed Intel had illegally used its dominance in the competition in the chip market. To note, Intel is still controlled about 80 percent of the world’s microprocessor market share.
Intel finally agreed to allow the producers of complementary products such as graphics chips, has access to the central processing unit besutannya six years. Read the rest of this entry »
Wow, Intel demonstrated a system with the chip that has 48 cores, ckckck. X-bit labs found on-chip supercomputer system is abbreviated to SCC in Europe on a demo that runs on the motherboard experimental “Copper Ridge” with I / O integration, which is also integrated graphics as well as eight DIMM slots. There is no SATA ports, but using a USB flash disk for penyimpanan.Menurut report, the SCC has 23 tiles / box with two x86 cores on each box / tilenya in which each have their own L2 cache and can run a separate OS or software such as computational units independent communicating with each other through packet-based network / package. SCC was also integrates four DDR3 memory controller.
48-core chip has 24 small routers that facilitate inter-core faster data exchange between the chips. Each core also has a buffer on the chip that can instantly exchange data in parallel to all the cores. Intel also informed that the 48-core chip has a more sophisticated resource systems that can pull the data between 25 watts to 125 watts. This system also can reduce the core clock speed and disable. For business computer processors, Intel’s name undeniable brilliance. Inevitably, for desktop processors later in 2011 they predicted will reach a speed of 10 GHz. If you look at the current computing needs, it’s a processor with
speed or high multitasking capability is absolutely necessary.
Now, on the basis of these expectations are hung to Intel’s high-nan. Geek and was quoted as quoted on Monday (5/10/2010), Intel predicts they’ll kill processor speed of 10 GHz on 2011 later. Estimates are very striking indeed, especially for the existing line of processors on the market today no one has penetrated the speed of 4 GHz. During develop a product, Intel is always adheres to Moore’s Law which making the number of transistors in processors they will increase two-fold every 18 months. However, slightly different from that processor speed is always doubled the speed.
Does this mean Intel will work to make processors with speeds up10 GHz? Just wait for the presence of these processors are scheduled to be introduced in coming years.
